Diamonds are most commonly found in one of the following places:
Africa: Angola, Botswana, Central African Republic, Congo, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Namibia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Zimbabwe.
Asia: China, India, Indonesia, Russia.
North & South America: Brasil, Canada, French Guiana, USA, Venezuela.
Oceania: Australia.
Rough diamonds are sent to diamond cutting centers once they have been recovered and processed.
The art, skill, and science of turning a raw diamond into a faceted diamond is known as diamond cutting. Because of its tremendous difficulty, it necessitates specialized knowledge, tools, and approaches.
The great majority of stones are sent to grading laboratories such as IGI, HRD, and GIA after this highly specialized polishing procedure and before final mounting into jewelry to assess their quality.
